Industry News - Rocky Mountain Kartworks becomes GP Importer

A.J. Noud’s Rocky Mountain Kartworks outfit has taken a huge step in the company’s growth by taking over the importer duties
for the successful green and blue GP line of chassis. Noud has been with GP since the brand’s first race on American soil back
in 2001, and he spent endless hours developing the chassis at Fury Imports in Indiana.

“I am very excited to have this opportunity” stated Noud, “With the change taking place so late in the race season it’s been a lot of work getting all the pieces put into place and the parts on the shelf, but now we’re ready to roll.”

Since taking over the GP dealership in Colorado from his father Bill three years ago, Noud and his team have gathered a steady following in the Rocky Mountain region, winning many Colorado state championships, and fielding some front-running talent nationally. They have been particularly strong in some of the growing classes such as Spec Moto, TaG Jr. and TAG 4 Stroke, largely due to the family’s dedication to their customers. The team’s spirit of co-operation often extends beyond their tent on race days.

Noud is now taking that program nationally with the help of dealerships across the country, from CF Motorsports in Massachusetts to KLS in California. The GP chassis should become even more popular on U.S. podiums.

“It’s no secret that now is not the best time to be an importer, since times are tough and karting is down. But we have Wood Source stepping up as a team sponsor, and we have a strong network of people that KLS already put in place; it will be key to take advantage of it.”

GP Racing will be represented in a big way at next week’s SKUSA Supernationals with top national and international talent under the tent - watch for announcements in the next few days.
